I was an overweight man with type 2 diabetes. Despite taking oral medications, my glucose levels were rarely within my target range. My doctor and I decided that I would have to lose significant weight or consider insulin; a sobering thought.

I stepped on the scale today for the first time in 2 weeks and I have dropped 4 pounds (finally, after months of being stuck!). It didn't feel difficult at all so I was shocked by the results. I am a teenager and I just wanted to tell you how Healthy Heart Meals is working for me.

At first, I was a little bit worried about what my friends would say when they saw the prepared lunches I was bringing to school every day. However, all they say is that I have the best looking lunches at the table. Even the principal saw my lunch one day and said that it looked great and where did I get it?

I love most of the choices, particularly the breakfasts with poached eggs and all the lunches which have sandwiches. The dinners are also quite good, I think rosemary lamb is my favourite. My new eating habits make me feel happy and I'm not so tired!

Healthy Heart has made dieting extremely easy.

At the beginning I thought I was getting too much food and I would never lose weight. But in two months I have lost 11 pounds. I am rarely hungry between meals but if I am, I have an orange and that tides me over.

The meals are interesting and the selection is endless. In the first six weeks I don't think I had the same meal twice, except for the fruit and yoghurt, which I could eat every day.

I am the envy of the office. My colleagues now ask me daily, what my chef has cooked up for lunch. My favourite part, of course, is having the meals arrive at my door. When I have forgotten to choose the meals myself it's great fun to open the cooler and see what you have selected for me. I am always pleasantly surprised. So there is no figuring out points or weighing food or even having the hassle of going to the grocery store. It is all done for me. There aren't even dishes to wash - another bonus. And best of all, I feel very well and energetic on the diet plan. The food is fresh and the meal well balanced.

At first I added salt as I am used to having salt on my food, but now I don't sprinkle on the salt. I might add some Tabasco for heat, otherwise I eat the meals as they come. I have 19 more pounds to lose to hit my target weight. I plan on sticking with Healthy Heart because I am confident I will achieve my goal.
